Terms of Use
Theatre Side Nursing – Terms of Use
(For hospitals/facilities and individual enrollees)
By accessing or using the Theatre Side Nursing online transition support program, you agree to the following terms:
1. Nature of the program
-
The Theatre Side Nursing program is an educational resource designed to support nurses transitioning into perioperative practice (admissions, anaesthetics and recovery).
-
The program does not provide individual patient care, clinical decision‑making, or personalised advice. It is not a substitute for clinical supervision, hospital orientation, or institutional policies.
2. Use by hospitals and facilities
-
Hospitals and facilities may licence the program for their staff as part of onboarding, orientation, or ongoing professional development.
-
The hospital/facility remains responsible for:
-
Ensuring staff meet all registration, credentialing, and competency‑assessment requirements.
-
Aligning the program with local policies, procedures, and clinical governance frameworks.
-
Confirming that participation in the course does not, by itself, guarantee clinical readiness or competence for a specific role.
-
3. Use by agency‑nursing companies
-
If an agency‑nursing company uses the program, it is for training and education only, to support nurses placed into perioperative roles.
-
The agency remains responsible for:
-
Verifying that nurses are appropriately registered, skilled, and supervised.
-
Not representing the course as a full clinical competency assessment or a replacement for hospital‑specific orientation.
-
4. Use by individual nurses
-
Individual nurses may enrol in the program for their own professional development and transition support.
-
Each nurse is responsible for:
-
Practising in accordance with AHPRA registration standards, the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia’s codes, and their employer’s policies.
-
Not relying solely on this program for clinical decision‑making or patient‑specific advice.
-
5. Limitation of liability
-
Theatre Side Nursing (Jennifer de la Cruz, RN) provides the program in good faith but does not guarantee that completion of the course will:
-
Ensure error‑free clinical practice, or
-
Prevent adverse events or poor outcomes.
-
-
You acknowledge that:
-
The program is based on current evidence and best‑practice guidelines, which may change over time.
-
Any claims arising from clinical decisions, errors, or incidents are not attributable solely to the course content and remain the responsibility of the nurse, employer, or facility.
-
6. Intellectual property and access
-
All course content, materials, videos, and assessments are the intellectual property of Theatre Side Nursing.
-
You may not:
-
Copy, redistribute, resell, or reverse‑engineer the materials.
-
Share your login credentials or allow unauthorised users to access the program without a valid licence.
-
7. Privacy and data
-
Theatre Side Nursing collects personal information (including name, email, workplace, and progress data) only for enrolment, communication, and course administration.
-
You agree that your data will be handled in accordance with relevant privacy laws and the platform’s privacy policy.
8. Governing law and dispute resolution
-
These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia.
-
Any disputes arising from the use of the program will first be attempted in good‑faith negotiation or mediation before formal legal proceedings.
